Requirements
In order to proceed with configuring login with SSO through Okta OIN, you must:
- Have access to an Okta tenant
- Be an Okta administrator to that tenant
Supported features
- Service Provider (SP)-Initiated Authentication (SSO) Flow - this authentication flow occurs when the user attempts to log in to the application from Svix.
- IdP-Initiated SSO - this authentication flow occurs when the user attempts to log in to Svix from the Okta dashboard shortcut
- Universal Logout - when enabled, Okta can terminate user sessions and tokens when risk is detected or when an admin initiates logout.
Configuration steps
- Contact Svix support at [email protected] to get your customer identifier
- Svix support will confirm if your organization is eligible and provide you with the identifier for your organization
- In your Okta admin dashboard, Go to Applications → Browse App Catalog, and search and add Svix.
- Link to Svix's App on Okta Integration Network
- Fill in the customer identifier you received from Svix
- Assign the users or groups that should be able to log into Svix.
- Go to the Svix App under your Okta Applications → Sign On tab and note of the Client ID and Client Secret.
- Contact Svix support with the following information:
- Okta Domain (looks like acme.okta.com)
- Client ID
- Client Secret
- Your company email domain
- Svix support will handle your request and get back to you once the integration is configured.
SP-initiated SSO
The sign-in process is initiated from the Svix dashboard.
- From your browser, navigate to the Svix sign-in page (dashboard.svix.com)
- Enter your email (the email domain must match your company email domain)
